Rope Bondage - Suspension Basics (couple ticket 2720 kr for members, 3400 kr non-members)

In this course we move from floorwork into the world of suspensions, and learn how to make this transition in a safe and fun way. We will focus on ways of tying the upper body for suspension use. We will practice up-lines and lock-offs and several specific suspensions, plus playful ties on the floor. We also dive deeper into the features that make Japanese bondage such an intimate, juicy, beautiful, and sometimes transformative experience - from delightful moments of bliss, through erotic play to the beauty in suffering.   We go further into concepts like:   - Intimacy and non-verbal communication through ropes - Aesthetics and the beauty of rope bondage - The dynamics of power and surrender - Polarization and presence - Consent and being confident in communicating your boundaries - Body movement in ropes - Safety and nerves     WHO IS THIS FOR This course is for you who already have basic skills in Japanese Rope Bondage. The person tying needs to have some experience in technical ties for floorwork and rope play, and to be able to tie a Gote in a precise and safe way. The person being tied needs to have some experience in being tied. If in doubt, contact us for more information in info@houseofplay.dk. If everyone in the course speaks Danish, we will do that, otherwise we'll speak English.   Please note: You need to sign up as a couple, where one is being tied and the other ties, throughout the course.   If you want to join, but don’t have a rope partner, contact us and maybe we can help. The course is for all genders and sexual orientations. TIME Every other Wednesday (even weeks) at 19.30-22.00. Aug 20th to Dec 10th, 2025. On November 24th the Beginner course and the Suspension Basics course will go out for dinner together and join the House of Play Rope Jam afterwards. Optional of course.   PLACE House of Play, Shetlandsgade 3, 1, 2300 Copenhagen S   WHAT TO BRING Bring a least ten ropes of app. 8 meters x 6 mm, made from jute or hemp, plus a suspension ring and at least 3 carabiners. Contact us for advice on where to buy good rope and equipment. Wear clothes you feel comfortable in and that you can move freely in.   TICKETS Couple ticket for members of House of Play: 2.720 kr. Couple ticket non-members: 3.400 kr. Low income/student ticket: 2.720 kr (please write to us on info@houseofplay.dk). Tickets are non-refundable, but we are glad to help you sell your ticket if you cannot participate anyway. TEACHERS Anna (she/her) first fell in love with Japanese rope bondage over a decade ago, and hasn’t stopped tying since. She’s been actively teaching ropes for years, and finds the greatest passion in teaching beginner and intermediate levels. Her focus is on making ropes safe, playful, connective, queer, and body adaptative. Anna also facilitates rope jams and play nights at House of Play. Diana (she/her) has been a part of the kink scene for many years. She began her rope journey in 2020 and enjoys both tying and even more being tied. She particularly enjoys emotional, sensual bondage and also playing with more demanding ties. Diana also values creating a safe space while exploring possibilities with empathy.
